Is there a way to pick up stone Chest after placing them inside(xbox one x) .I had placed these and after upgrading my house and they block second floor and I can't pick them up in decorate mode or hit them to pick them up like you can outside.

I've never tried this but try going into decorate mode and place the chest into storage. And then choose house storage again, maybe it'll put the chest into ur inventory

If there’s nothing in them I usually just use a picaxe

yes you can move them through the deco mode don´t know if you can´t if they have something in them then youll have to make an extra empty one and transfer them first

had the same problem and i cant pick it up via pickaxe or an axe
as the peeps mentioned here before, go to deco mode (P button in PC) then select the chest and put it in storage/house storage (press SPACE bar for PC to do this). make sure to empty out the chest first or else you wont be able to proceed. next is exit deco mode > then go to "house storage" mode. there you'll see your empty chests which you can put back to you backpack.

i just tried and on pc you go p then select a chest like any other deco it works with filled ones and move it to another location

yesss, you can move the filled ones but you cant put it to storage or back to your backpack if it's filled
