I have the bronze fruit tree upgrade but none of my fruits are bronze, whereas the crop one I got all of my crops are at least bronze

Make sure you dont upgrade the wrong tree xD

Fruit tree are the one with 3x3 space and last forever
Fruit plants are the one with 2x2 space and last 2 seasons

And you can use fertilizer for fruit plant. Fertilize all 4 tiles

Fruit plant = [fruit] seedlings
Fruit tree = [fruit] saplings
