Sorry but I've lost my temper with it now lol.
I keep seeing game staff asking for specific examples but there's so many so I'm writing a list.

Using any of the machines (compost, scrap and furnace etc)
Opening chests.
Opening the map/inventory.
Closing the map/inventory.
Entering/leaving diving.
Scything the trash while diving.
Leaving diving also often causes all buttons to stop working, meaning I have to wait to collapse and lose money in order to save the day.
Entering or exiting buildings.
Fishing.
Holding an item and speaking to someone.
I've given up even entering the museum, never mind donating items - still haven't successfully donated the 10th item. I have whole chests of fish and bugs ready for that fix lol.

The only place so far that's not crashed for me is the cavern.

That's all I can think of right now. I've had to redo approximately 20 days and lost items each time.

I really want to play this game it's actually great, but it's just so so broken and it's really frustrating.

Update to add:
The beach clean up event was totally inaccessible as was the planting trees. Trying to trigger both of these events caused a crash so I just ignored them in the end.

Do we even have an eta on when they’re going to fix the Xbox? It really seems like they’re just abandoning that system completely. It’s disappointing for sure.

What's upsetting me is it's like they're using people for free game testing. This is not okay

I'm hoping the next patch will fix it because it's definitely a game I can see myself losing months to. As said above it feels like we're beta testers at this point though and it's really disheartening.

The best way right now that I have found to avoid the crashes is to restart the game every 1 to 2 days. Since I started doing it after every in game day, I haven't had a crash. It's a little tedious but worth it to be able to keep playing. I'm very cautious of town events, and still haven't been able to donate the 10th item

If you're willing to eat the day, you can donate the 10th item and quickly trigger the menu to get the "I'm stuck" option, and that skips the cutscene and prevents the crash. If you do that, don't turn in the 50 item quest, because once it's converted to Founders Hall you can't even enter the museum anymore.

I think you can't open the founders hall which I thought was triggered by the other reward 🤔 or is it just happening whether you want it or no?

I was having the issue of crashing on my xbox series S when I donated my last item that triggered a story line. I switched to XBOX on my PC and it works great so definitely a Console Issue. I haven't gone back to my console for fear of it happening again. I don't like to lose progress and have to start over. And since it is RNG I don't always get the same things as the last time.

@urban fractal I love how they respond to posts with little to no information asking for information or a video wanting people to recreate random crashes but then when people have posts like this that are fairly specific… crickets. Like @dapper venture said, it’s really messed up that they’re using us like this. The game should have not been released in the condition it is in. Absolutely ridiculous. Unethical.

Game still crashed after hot fix when I used anchor to leave ocean. It happened after the sea dragon got released scene.

I tried the new update today after a few weeks long break, I could enter the museum (huge win yayyy), but then the game crashed twice at random times (once while opening inventory, once while leaving the ocean). I think I will wait for the next update 😅

I had one crash, when I tried to talk to an npc while there were frame rate issues happening. So I pushed my luck

Im still having issues with random crashes. I was just opening my inventory and it crashed. I really enjoy this game when it works but the random crashing makes it not so enjoyable. I was excited when this game came to xbox since I couldn’t play it on pc and it’s just a bit disappointing.

They apparently put out a patch for Xbox today. The museum is fixed and so is the ocean, but it's only for SOME people.
My museum works beautifully, but I can't leave diving (by anchor or fast travel) without crashing.

Got 3-4 crahes in the last hours... 1 leaving harvest festival, 1 randomly out if no where and 2 by teleporting... kinda shame to call this state a full release 1.0 :/

I'm new I've literally just had this game for a week or so and there was so much crashes at random intervals, It's on game pass and it was up my alley , I was absolutely enjoying the game until the crashes, I was getting pissed of so I went to their site even joined the discord. I've been on Redditt and it seems like these crashes have been going on since the release, if they want new players they really should've testes this game, I was even asking my bf to fix something that clearly couldn't be fixed by following the tips 😂

Exactly I feel bad for the people who actually spent money thinking this game was fully functioning and working cause they "full released" it with "1.0" . From the state of this it wasn't ready for release. they aren't warning people and just using them for beta testers. The only minimal response giving even after the update is asking console players if they "got a recording of the crash"???? This is very disheartening especially when I see people putting days of there lives into this game..

(Xbox series s) Game crashes when its saving. 2nd time it happens. I went to the mines both times. What is going on? It’s not enjoyable when you lose the whole dang day because the game doesn’t work properly. It’s very disappointing.

Yea I have little hope because this game was Kickstarter funded and they could turn out to be frauds/scammers like other games that had been funded but I really hope it's not the case because whenever a game was funded on Kickstarter they literally just take people's money and never update or address any issues that players may have. I really was enjoying this game too, it would be a damn shame if that were the case, I didn't have to pay but I'm sure others did and they aren't getting their money's worth.

I wouldn't go getting hope up on them fixing it either. They have known about these issues since last month. And now they are heading out for the holidays on the 18th and won't be back till next year. So guess xbox players have to wait till next year to be able to even hope for a playable update

The game has only officially been released for a month. They’ve already pushed a hot fix (numerous) and it seems to have helped tremendously. It’s not like they’re completely ignoring this game and the complaints. They’ve been fairly transparent with what’s going on. People are just impatient. I get that spending money on a game and not being able to fully play it is frustrating. The game itself isn’t even complete. But considering this IS a kickstarter funded indie game, I feel a little more patience is needed. The devs definitely deserve it.

I still cannot complete the last shrine in the ocean to heal the tree. However I can do museum donations again! So baby steps, I am experiencing various crashes. Mostly when i go to bed to save the game. But honestly the museum upgrade is a huge win. Im playing this off game-pass. So honestly I can wait until after the holidays for them to patch some more. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Its a great game and I have like multiple others I’m playing atm also. I just hope after the holiday they can find a way to fix the ocean quest line so i can progress on that part.

Um not, impatient? How rude of you to say that honestly. Most people have been very patient but it is extremely frustrating to play a game that is this bad. It's not just a few things it's pretty much everything. The game should have been tested thoroughly before it was ever released and it clearly was not. I appreciate the devs continuing to work on it but it is absolutely fine for people to be frustrated and a little upset. It's not okay for people to be rude but I have rarely seen that. If posts like this bother you I would suggest just not reading it. But I feel their frustration, and it's not wrong what they are saying.

Agree. Planting day, always have some crash. Now I only do event on event day.

Also, carven has no problem. Made a lot of progress there.

Yes, impatient. It’s rude to act like the devs are ignoring the issues and assuming they won’t fix it because they don’t care. They’ve clearly been working hard on it, pushing hot fix after hot fix. I said I understand the frustration. But I’ve seen many nasty comments about the devs, which aren’t needed. No one reads the dev posts. They’d rather insult them, the game and their work ethic. People are frustrated the devs are going on break, acting like we have to wait a year for them to return. It’s absolutely ridiculous. And if reading this bothers you, I would suggest not reading it.

Utter truth.

According to early access players, the v1.0 update is what brought the crashes and issues. They’re being addressed rather quickly. Which should be appreciated.

I already acknowledged the fact it wasn’t complete lmao the devs have acknowledged it as well. Unfortunately, it’s more common nowadays to push unfinished games. Why, I have no idea. But at least these devs are WORKING for US to improve the game and fix the issues.

Rude?? Insult them?? Bless your heart. Hun if I wanted to insult them it would have been a whole lot more colorful. I simply said that they was leaving out for holiday. Where in what I said was a lie or insult?? I hope they have an amazing holiday as everyone deserves. But people are losing their entire saves after putting in days of work. This has also been know since the middle of November. And they haven't directly addressed it nor warned people on Xbox that get this game. That these crashes could cause your entire 80-100 hrs save to dissappear and not be accessible. That people putting up with the crashes and pushing through just to lose that work and then get automated messages in return for over a month. So yes im telling people to play at their own risk if at all on console until it's addressed, if it even is. It's not just one or 2 people or even people just on cloud. If your using Xbox these crashes have a chance of wiping your save and that's a pretty fair thing for people to be upset and disheartened that it hasn't been actually adressed..

You were only pointing out that they seem to not know how to fix it and it won't be fixed soon, it's not rude, ignore them, they don't know what it's like to loose all your data from the week 🤣 at the end of the day this is probably their first big game and they're deers in headlights, I think they need to turn to other companies for assistance cause these aren't bugs that should be happening in the first place let alone all of them at the same time, they've got a dumpster fire on their hands atm.

Allowing a game into full access that is unfinished and full of bugs is, to be honest, fraudulent.

This was Kickstarter funded and the development was paid for.

Charging Steam, PS5 or XBOX users, as well as taking GamePass money without full acknowledgement that the game isn't finished is not right. It doesn't say BETA or EARLY ACCESS on the sales pages. It says "VERSION 1.0 NOW AVAILABLE".

In software development 1.0 is final release. Back in the days of cartridges you had one release shot...When Atari pulled this they almost went bust. Day one patches and updates have killed modern game development.

With regards to hotfixes... I am surprised that it actually passed the XBOX criteria for certification, given the game shouldn't crash based on criteria XR-001 AND XR-003...

I'm so glad im playing this game on xbox game pass. I can't imagine how pissed I'd be if I bought this as a "full release" and was playing it in the state it's in. Totally unacceptable. I'm actually blown away by the audacity to call this a full release when I see all the bugs in my game. And other people's experiences are even worse!!!!
