unable to decorate house properly (xbox)

i've read that this is a common bug right now, where i can't pick up my furniture or remove it from my home. i'm trying to find solutions around this because i'm so obsessed with this game and don't want to wait for an update. someone on reddit recommended using a keyboard because apparently this works around the bug. i'm wondering if keyboards are supported on xbox or if it works properly as of now? thanks ˙ᵕ˙

I loaded in on my Xbox app on pc via cloud gaming and managed to do it that way then switched back to console when I was done
