Please, I need some answers, when will the hotfix for xbox game pass will be released? There's already multiple hotfix that were released for the steam version but none for the xbox game pass version yet

the hotfix will be released when Microsoft says it gets released. the team has no control over when it gets released

Does this mean the Steam version of the game is more up to date than the Xbox version?

Cause I also been using Xbox Game pass and ran into some issues

From what I’ve read of other’s experiences, yes the steam is more up to date because Microsoft is holding the update hostage

More often than not, yes, Steam doesn't screen their updates from devs so they can easily push updates instantly. Whereas for gamepass (pc and xbox) and ps5, the updates have to be approved by Microsoft and Sony respectively. Historically that can be anywhere between 1 day after Stairway submits it to.... never lul

Idk if you have access to a computer or not, but if you have game pass, you can install the game on your computer with it and still have access to your save file :> That's what I've been doing while I wait for the hotfix.

3 updates have been released since November and we don't have them on the game pass.. i think i'm gonna buy the game on steam, i really like it T-T

Do it. I have a post with some new game plus files so you can at least start with more money if you want that since you can't move your save

I would also like to buy it via Steam, only the problem is I'm very attached to my current game status, I've put a lot of time and love into it. I thought maybe as soon as Coral Island is fully released, regular updates for the Xbox Game Pass PC version will come But unfortunately it looks completely different and is completely neglected it's such a shame😔

i'll think about it and wait until the beginning of 2024, if nothing change , i'll buy it. There are no really big bug until winter of the first year and it bother me a little, we cant talk to people during winter festival and other things like translations in french 😉

I gave in and got the game on steam yesterday. There's no telling when xbox will push out updates on game pass, so I figured to heck with it lol

@upper onyx not true sorry to say but getting tired of hearing it's on Microsoft they can't release something they don't have they don't just sit on bug fixes or updates their not that useless and they know it does no good on their end so please stop dissing on Microsoft

There was an update for xbox on the 27th and two days later Playstation followed. You can see that in the changelist channel. This time it’s the other way around and us xbox players have to wait a bit longer. I’m sure it’s coming soon.

Ah that sucks! Sorry to hear. I’m playing on series X and for me the lagging improved massively after that update + sound issues are gone now

@pallid onyx yea that happened with the Stability fix I'm still crashing still can't get into the museum and had to skip 2 festivals due to the crashing their random crashing other then the museum that's constant

I am probably just going to buy it on steam and play like that. I like playing it on the go with game pass, but can't take another end of the day crash or not being able to going to any festivals

I sped through Winter Year 1 because of all the bugs on the PC game pass. Winter my characters where wearing summer clothes.

Tbh, and sorry to be harsh to the devs but, the main problem here was the game being released in such a buggy state. If the patches were just fixing minor problems or adding small content, it wouldn't be that bad waiting g for patches. This game feels like a beta still

They were probably rushed by Humble to release it. Publisher probably put a lot of pressure on them to release it sooner

Stop pushing all the responsibility on to everyone else. The developer should be able to hold their hands up and own the fact that they released a buggy mess. We don't know the circumstances of the release re Humble and we don't know the circumstances of patch releases re Microsoft and Sony. This thread is full of speculation and blame shifting.

So I blame the devs for not being as proactive as they should, especially for the Xbox users who either use Game Pass or legit paid money for the game. The publisher is also partly to blame if they rushed this game out to make money. I haven't found anything regarding Microsoft and them keeping the update from happening. If this is happening please give me a link to an article stating this, otherwise I'm a sceptic.

But I think that people should keep reporting every single crash, even if it has already been reported. It will get fixed eventually! Just keep up the crash and bug reports!

at this point there have been 2 hotfixes for xbox consoles ... so im not convinced by the 'its microsoft holding it up'. Gamepass feels lower priority because we don't pay for the game itself and as such arent asking for refunds when its broken.

It got updated and I still crash upon saving at night. I restated the game and made it one week in game.

So the hot fix for Xbox mainly fixed the museum crash. If you own a PC I would just invest in the steam version. I believe it's going to be a bit before the Xbox version is fully optimized.

I refuse to reward the publisher and devs and purchase the game again. IMO, buy another game to play while they fix the gamepass version.
