I experienced a crash after I finally cleared 20 ocean sites and discovered the merpeople. I saw the cut scene and my game crashed immediately as it finished. I only tried once because I felt so defeated when it crashed.
I'm playing on the Xbox series S, game version v1.0-935.

@wary cobalt did you use the teleport on your farm to go to the pier? Maybe try just walking there, do one pillar, save your game then repeat for any other you have left and spam the X button when the cutscene is supposed to appear.

Luckily I have a series X as well so that's what I've been playing on since it happened. But thank you for your advice!
