Crash happens at every random opportunity such as:

It crashes when walking

it crashes when dashing

it crashes when talking to NPCs

it crashes when entering the house or any other buildings

it crashes when exiting any buildings such as house or general store, museum, the inn, the furniture store, pufferfish, blacksmith, everywhere

it crashes when opening the menu like inventory, crafting, map, relationship tabs

it crashes if you stand still too long and then try to move

it crashes if you move too much

it crashes if you go diving and try to use the anchor to return to land

it crashes when you open chests or exit chests.

it crashes if you go to the bed but only randomly

it crashes when tilling the land, and if it doesn't then it crashes once you start planting seeds

it crashes when watering

it crashes at random so no specific time frames. sometimes it is early in the day around 12Pm other times at night around 8pm if you can make it through the day, but no specific time frames exactly... it just keeps happening

  1. Repro Rate:

How often does the crash occur? (100% if every time you retry the repro steps)

Example: Tried 3 times and crashed twice.

It is impossible to replicate each crash except for diving. it is almost guaranteed to crash if you dive for longer than 2 in game hours in my experience. if you don't make it to the bed to save quickly you will lose a lot of progress.

seriously unplayable. I'm not even sure what happened. I would sometimes get a crash every now and then but after yesterday it literally crashes if my character breathes, if the wind blows north/east/south/or west, or if the sun rises and sets. at the very least give us an option to save the game at will so we don't keep losing entire days. if I can just have a save button I could probably forgive and forget having to replay one single day 5 times. I could even forget all the bugs and crashes 😭😭😭

@craggy forum I second that. Sorry I'm not a game tester for stairway so why am I doing there job for them, maybe just maybe forget about making more content for a game which has more buggs then my back garden and more crashes then a test dummy site focus on fixing and optimise the current game before you have no one to play the new content.

I'm trying to play in Xbox Cloud, and it is impossible to finish a day without crashing... And happens randomly too... I can't past day one of summer because of that, lost my entire day 5 times already... I give up on this game until an update is launched... It's sad, because I was loving this game... 😢

@smoky hamlet xbox cloud isn't very reliable at the best of time but trust me, running on xbox series s isn't much better and instead of playing the game im on here much more trying to understand the what,where,when and how. I want to play this game and if it wasn't for the devs keeping us in the dark about the whole thing it wouldn't be as bad, I find myself looking at dev diary at 1am bst everyday in hopes of news but ot really is getting to the point that I can't recommend this game.

I started having random crashes like this yesterday. I'm being bombarded with cutscenes that never wanted to play before the update. Now not only am I having cutscenes overlapping, but I'm having random crashes from just... walking? It's even worse when I cannot trigger any scenes when I load the day back in. On top of that if I open the quest menu too fast after giving over a quest item it will crash the game also now.

What gets me is ppl say in the devs defense..it's a small indi company bare with them...ever hear of my time at portia or sandrock??? They were kickstarters also and that indi company has 25 25!!!! Employees

Lol all this waiting for a crash fix is making me sour I gotta stay away from discord haha
