After the Dec dev blog I would also love more information. I get that theres alot of hoops that need to be jumped through but the lack of ANY updates is getting frustrating. I jusy wanna know a switch release is still really happening
I mean switch I feel tends to have less bugs than every other platform so Iām not surprised itās taking so long considering itās almost unplayable on everything but steam
They might not have any news to share and are waiting to hear from Nintendo
Bump. Still waiting. 1.1 is coming out and switch STILL not having an ETA is frustrating š¦

Newest update on kickstarter didnt mention switch AT ALL
Bump
If they're having this much trouble getting a Switch release, which I assume means optimisation issues too, cos let's face it, the Switch isn't as powerful but if they were gonna offer the option at least make sure you can do it š„². I just wanna play the game. I have been patient. Our laptop couldn't handle the beta so I couldn't even play that either šš«
I think weāre under-estimating the switch a bit - my switch handled Skyrim just fine. I wonder if thereās a point in story plot development, etc that theyāre waiting for before switch release
I would just like a timeline or some sort of update honestly. Because right now itās seemingly in limbo.
The devās did at least confirm that there will be a switch release in general chat. So itās coming, just not sure when
Bump: still have no eta. Smh

Still bumping. It's been weeks.
Hi hi all! We're still working on it. If there are more updates we will announce it š

Even though I can play PC or Xbox. The switch is definitely my prefers way to game. My next purchase is either this, my time at sandrock or sunnyside. I'd prefer coral island over sandrock. Please give us a date need to budget.
I'm not fussed about waiting for the switch game. I'm annoyed they aren't communicating about their process on the switch.
Same. I just want some info to understand
They arenāt communicating about a lot of things that are way more important than a switch release
What we need is the game to be fixed on existing platforms before it gets added to a new one. Do you want to go through what Xbox and PlayStation people are going through right now?
š¢
We will end up getting it when the Switch 2 drops /hj
If switch 2 actually drops
Sure, but even just a "we're still working on the switch release, fixing previous bugs" would be fine. There wasn't even a mention of switch in the kickstarter reward status update.
LOL. If that's the case, then they better buy me a Switch 2 as well.
According to a quick google, the Switch 2 release is rumoured end of 2024/early 2025
I'm resigned at this point of ever seeing the release on Switch in the near future. I would genuinely be angry tho if it was eventually (and only) released on Switch 2...
^^^
They said in general not to long ago that they are working on it. They also want to make sure the switch can run it without the issues other consoles are having atm.
Honestly, releasing the Switch version after the entirity of the game updates are out would probably be for the best. That way the Switch users won't have to come back here to complain that it's buggy and it was rushed
Unfortunately, I donāt think the switch currently has the specs to handle a game like Coral Island. Plus Nintendo is releasing a new system this year. Maybe with enough improvements, theyāll be able to release the game on that?
Which still means having to buy an entirely new system to play a game you kickstarted with the intent to play on a console you already owned. That escalates from an investment of a little bit of money to a lot of bit of money š but I took the risk of the kickstart, so oh well, lesson learned.
They should have done 1.0 right for each console and THEN adding new content, animals, tourists or whatever.
We can't even play on Switch after backing it 3y ago.
I really thought Alpha would only be on PC and then the game release on each console, at the same time.
It's not the delayed release that frustrates me (better take time to get a good game) but rather the fact that everyone else can play except us.. and there is no news other than "we are working on it".
Thereās no way the devs would have known that Nintendo was planning on releasing a new version of the Switch while theyāve been trying to finish the game.
They already did one code swap before 1.0 full release, so maybe those backers who donāt intend on buying the Switch 2 will be given the opportunity to code swap to a different platform. It certainly doesnāt hurt to pop it into #š¤coral-feedback
That's actually a really good idea.
