I was reading some boards for this game on another site and saw some people saying that minigame difficulty wasn't just based on max stamina, but the PC's current stamina level (ex: 201/453 stamina) at the time of entering the festival. Can anyone confirm if that's true? I would check myself but I've paused my playthrough until some additional bugs are fixed, and I wondered if anyone on this board might know offhand.

I don't know if the difficulty level is affected by stamina (i.e. if the NPCs perform better if your stamina is higher), but I know that for some minigames at least both your max and your current come into play. When I did the swimming race for the beach cleanup with ≈400/650, I effectively could use only those 400, my energy never recovered above what I'd started with. The next year, I consumed stamina-boosting food beforehand and could use all of my boosted ≈850.
