Pretty much the title. Should I water manually or just plot my whole farm to lvl it. Does watering count if there's nothing planted? I guess auto sprinkler gives no XP?

yes spinklers give no xp and best way i found is make a large plot usually 22 by 22 works best and do fast crops and u will get to lvl 10 pretty fast

Just keep playing youl get there, plant as many crops as you can, you still get exp for planting and harvesting.

Go to beach with hoe and dig up sand. It respawns everyday, do errands and exchange 500 points for xp drink for skill of choice, can even use this to get 6th skill point once you max lvl a skill

Elixers give you a you a skill point, they do not level you up. Digging up sand does not level up farming either.

Farming xp comes from harvest and tilling soil and watering tilled soil.
Tilling soil = using hoe on ground.
But yes elixir gives point not xp is my mistake.
Mine you the xp is not much watering and tilling is 02 xp per tile where planting and harvesting a new crop first time is 25 but if u want fast xp till away
