I've had the game crash three times on the day of the harvest festival. There doesn't seem to be a particular trigger.
The first crash was after the apple bobbing mini game. The second crash I was just running around and talking to npc's. The third crash I actually made it through the festival, but it crashed when I went to sleep and it hadn't reach the save point so I still have to attempt the harvest festival day again.

I have the same problem on xbox x... for me it crashes every time after winning apple mini game, also happened once after pumpkin smashing. Due to that I am not able to play further.. it's really frustrating considering it is a "fully released" game.. And it's not even on the known issues list.

@drifting burrow Thank you for your reply. For me it's not possible to record the issue as the game just crashes entirely right after closing scoreboard after the mini game and goes back to xbox home page. I tried this like 4 times.
Regarding the mentioned crash report the first part seems to be the same issue - the second (which the video is showing) is related to some other bug, which I didn't face.
Are there any time frames in which we can expect fixes? I think everyone would really appreciate some honest communication regarding the console problems. Knowing how long it might take to get to playable state would avoid a lot of frustration and waste of time for people. Especially that currently there is only one save file and no option to save during the day and limit the time waste due to crashes..

Also having Harvest Festival Year 2 crashes. First crash was when I selected to view the Rewards for the main event, before having started the event. Second crash was after finishing the main event, trying to retrieve rewards. Third crash was when I deposited five items into the main even display slots, then removed one back into my inventory.

I’m on my fifth replay of the day and I’m about to just skip the whole harvest festival. I’m super disappointed in this. I worked hard to get gold crops for this and I can’t even get past the judging of them.

I know it's frustrating. I'm about to go into my day 3 of potential crashing too. I hate repeating all of my hard work. But it's okay! We do the same thing every day anyway 😂
But remember that this game is still in development! This is just the 1.0 release essentially --- everything we do and report though - is helpful! For the developers to work on and fix for the next big release! Which may eventually include co-op play!
So don't lose heart. ♡

Nothing to get salty about.
Depends if you're a console or PC/Steam player. But you can also pay for games that have constant updates and play them where there's character imbalances/advantages that also have glitches. Where those games even have tournaments.

Read that today's pc-gamepass update fixed this issue.... except that I just went to the event (on my fourth attempt of the same day) and yet again fatal error game crashed. T-T

yeah ive had multiple crashes of on pc-gamepass one from just submitting my crops and the other after trying to claim rewards.

I've experienced this crash on both Xbox Series S and PC Game Pass (after the update). The first crash on Xbox Series S was after finishing the apple-bobbing minigame, The second and third crashes were on PC Game Pass and were from checking rewards for the Display Contest and from recieving rewards from the Display Contest

This has happened to me as well, I go in to the festival and it crashes on me whenever I want to start the competition or when I turn in my items for the competition.

Just tested again today on Xbox, and had the game crash when trying to retrieve my submissions. I'm on year two, and had to complety skip the harvest festival in the first year due to crashes. I worked too hard on them to leave them behind, so I'll be uninstalling until this is truly fixed.

I had a crash on pc when I wanted to submit. After the update, the game did not freeze at wanting to submit but when I wanted to retrieve my prize, it now freezed. Music goes on, jsut screen freezes.
I tried it switching between controller and mouse/keyboard and fullscreen/windowed and lower resolution. Even full and empty inventory. all fatals errors

@drifting burrow it’s been a month and a half… where is the update for this???? Even longer actually because this has been an issue since the game released. Many of us aren’t playing until this is fixed because we don’t want to just skip the festival altogether.
@subtle dock asked you for a time frame and honest communication at the end of November and you couldn’t give that to her and now it’s January and you all are still giving us crappy updates that barely fix anything. I’m glad I found the game Palia to pass my time which is ACTUALLY in development and free to play right now. I am tired of waiting on y’all with zero communication and a million crashes. Coral island has so much potential and you all are ruining it.
