Which bugs & fish to save for ponds?

Want to plan ahead and save bugs and fish for future ponds, but which ones are worth putting in ponds?

Any sharks and for the bugs the blue morpho butterfly but I missed them by a season and tarantulas I think are the second highest

Yellow moray eels are a legendary fish that seem relatively easy catch and also make you a good amount of money

I am breeding giant sea bass, giant stingray, and great white shark for fish. For insect it is best to breed blue morpho, tarantula, and crowned hairstreak

i put gold rove beetle in my insect house. it sells for 330. the basic quality sells at 220.
i’m sure there are better bugs but I’m in fall year 1 and i feel like they are good to reproduce money-wise when you are still early game. (i caught them in bug trap btw)

You catch tarantula which I have a gold one with the trap as well, especially in fall and that’s like 960 or higher

yeah but i feel like rove beetle are easier to catch than tarantula. i caught one tarantula vs probably 6 rove beetle. so it depends on your luck i guess

I have yet to even see a rove beetle and I’m on fall 16, I’ve caught like 12 tarantula with the traps

Where did you see them

i haven’t see a rove beetle either, but i did catch all of the ones i bought in my traps. where i only caught one tarantula in a trap and never seen one myself. (i’m also in mid fall year 1)

Where did you place them I placed two traps one by Nina s house and one by the beach and they are plentiful

Have yet to catch that dang beetle though

i mostly find at the vineyard, down to the steps that lead to the observatory

Yeah I have a trap in that exact spot and by the cemetery but all I’ve gotten are ground beetles 😭

where do you place your trap for the tarantula?

that sucks, I’m sorry :( but i feel like some bugs have weird pattern of appearing in game

Right next to the warp thing by Nina’s house and one at the bottom of the stairs to the beach, the ones that also lead to Nina’s house.

And yes it’s so weird! The sturdy computer really helped me find many of the fish and bugs I was missing for the museum but the nighttime ones I need are never on the map it’s so frustrating 😂

If we had multiplayer we could help eachother can’t wait for that feature

by warp thing you mean the waypoint thing? like to teleport yourself? i will put one there to see if i can catch any tarantula again (i definitely need all the money i can get aha)
i don’t have the computer yet so i can comment about it but hopefully it does help since it’s so expensive to make
and i don’t know if my laptop will be able to survive multiplayer but that does seem fun!
(also maybe we should switch to private message so the post doesn’t get buried with our messages aha)
