Hi, so I haven't officially started playing the new update because I sold my stuff and been busy. When I click on my world, it doesn't give me the message that it would save my money and start new. It just opens my world up and not start the new save. IDK if I'm doing something wrong or not.

Maybe try reinstall the game or check if you have the new update and try again. You did right . Need click to your old save wich is gonna pop a window that asking if you wanna start a new game+ .( not mentioning your money tho)

I started playing like around October this year. I sold all my stuff when the update happened

I find a post :

I grabbed a back up save file and replaced the current one.

It seems that if you save after they implemented the new version 1.0, then the game doesn't recognize the new game plus mode.

You have to grab an older save file for it to recognize it.

@flint sky i may have a solution ,not sure it gonna help but worth a shot. It helped me with another game. One of my file got interrupted and i couldnt start the game... i run that program on steam and it fixed it. Cant say from head , but if you go to your Library and right click at coral island the thirt or last option gonna pop a window ..i think the window you can set beta code/beta version and stuff..and there is have something wich is running the files (cant remember what it was called )lol
If some issues have with your file that thing gonna fix it. But not sure.🥺😓
