#Crash at end of day when trying to update coop

I've tried 3 times to update the coop - I wasn't sure it was causing the crash the first time, thought it was random. The crash happens at end of day. I do not have the automated chests so I knew it wasn't that bug. I tried to repeat other things I had done that day. Clearing out kelp, donating to museum, etc. Those days worked out fine. But every time I ask to upgrade my coop into the second tier the game crashes at end of day. I made sure this third time to do basically nothing else important that day so I'm pretty sure its related.

I'll try again in spring incase its season + coop related. Currently I'm in winter.

To add context: I'm on PC Steam most recent version, and I tried moving everything - temperature machine, chest, etc, out of the coops, as well as clearing out any nearby fences and machines. For testing purposes I'm going to create a new coop, upgrade that, and see if that also crashes or if there's something about this one's placement doing it after all.

Same issue, upgrading to coop level 2, I’m in Fall year 1, on PC Steam. No auto chests either.

As a time consuming frustrating work around - building a new coop and upgrading it when completely empty of animals did work just now.

Hi @wraith walrus. Thank you for the report. Do you happen to have any recorded video of the problem above? 🙂

No, sorry, I've never recorded video of me playing a game before. I have the crash report I added above, and several others from before I worked around it.

And I have this additional information - I was able to fully destroy the coop without an error from the carpenter, and when it was destroyed there was a fence post what would have been somehow inside the coops boundary. My best guess is that somehow when placing fences, my cursor clicked on a space inside the coops boundary and - perhaps from clicking too rapidly? - it placed it. I could not see that fence post before destroying the coop, so that also may have rendered it invisible or overwritten by the building itself but to the game it existed.

Hopefully that's helpfu.

This happens on PS5 as well. I tried in second year spring AND summer, fail to save the game whenever I upgrade the coop.
