I just came back to Coral Island and lost all my progress before the 1.0 update, which I knew it was a possibility with the game launch, but a bummer nonetheless.
My question is if it's safe to invest my time playing before the other major updates or will it cut my progress again? I really like the game I just don't want to repeat it multiple times ^^'

Honestly… with all the fixes they’ll have to do and new storylines they still have to add I really see them making us restart again. Nothing has been said for certain though

I really hope they take a route like My Time at Sandrock and just introduce some of the new scenes midway even if it doesn't make that much sense. Maybe make the suggestion of 'for story clarity it's better to restart, but you are free to continue from where you left'

Hopefully! I think the biggest storylines don’t affect the game wherever you’re playing so it should make sense just to add them when you’re done. I think realistically all of the merfolk and Savannah updates will be what makes us have to start over
