#When do heart events trigger?

I have 5 hearts with Pablo and nothing has triggered in terms of cutscenes.

I also have 3 hearts with surya and Rafael. No cutscenes or anything.

When do heart events happen? Am I missing something?

iirc pablo has a ||two heart|| and ||four heart ||event, possibly check|| if you were in the right place at the right time|| to trigger it?

Oh I didn’t realize that heart events need to be triggered by place and time 😳

#

Does that mean if you’re not at the right place or time then you lost the ability to see it? Ugh that is so frustrating

@kindred flume thank you for sharing this. I’m a little miffed right now. I have the heart event requirements but how the heck was I supposed to find these situations? This is so weird.

IMO the heart events should be accessible in the menus as episodes that get unlocked and can be replayed like tv shows.

#

That way there’s no scavenger hunt

Well just like in other farming sim games, it's pretty much the same way. Gotta figure it out unless someone tracks them all down and puts them in a guide or wiki. Stardew Valle, SoS and others are the same sadly 😦

I voiced my concerns about this system in feedback. This is not a good system at all. You have this amazing story, amazing island with all these stories and then you force players to look around for these story elements? Like what?

Someone mentioned putting character quests as a separate category and this is something I can get behind 100%.

We have story quests, side quests, add character quests for heart events. And when we get those heart goals accomplished, tell us where we need to go.

I would be totally behind having quests tied to heart events in a separate category as it does cause a lot of confusion for sure. I take it this is one of your first farming sim games?

@kindred flume I’ve played Stardew Valley, Graveyard Keeper, and Disney Dreamlight Valley.

#

Honestly, the way Disney Dreamlight Valley incorporates the character quests in the main quests is kind of how I envision Coral Island doing their character quests

#

They could just make a separate section, call it “Character Quests” and then let us know where the next meeting place/time/etc the event will happen and then give us the opportunity to rewatch those cutscenes whenever we want

#

Right now I’m using a word document and then manually checking off which character events I’ve seen already and it’s like wow this game will literally track everything for you, how did the developers not think to track this too

#

Especially because the game heavily markets the characters and stories and large cast of romanceable options.
