I've placed two trash collectors, I can't see them again they just vanished into thin air. Not sure where they are as there is no tutorial or information on them where does the trash go? Not sure if its just another bug or not.

Dunno if you've gotten info since this is an old question but do you remember where you put your trash collectors?
It looks like if you place them in caves, they will disappear when the caves reset
