I thought you interacted with this thing to start the tree planting event. However nothing happens when I go near it. I've tried with kmb and controller.
Before I submit it as a bug I'm just wondering if it's changed or I'm missing something.

have you perhaps talked to connor before going to the festival? maybe being unable to talk to npc's at festivals after you talked to them that day is causing this softlock?

I'll be honest, that was a few hrs ago (left the game running while I went out in case someone had an easy solution for me).
I do not recall if I spoke to him before the festival. I know before I wanted to start it I talked to all the NPCs present.
I do not think I talked to him beforehand, but maybe. I did do some running around today.

then that might be it then, i'd definitely report it in the bugs threads but other than that try restarting your day? not talk to him before festival and see if that fixes it

Yeah, I'll close out the game and restart the day at some point. But definitely gonna report it, because regardless of if I spoke to him earlier, it shouldn't lock me out of the whole event :x

yup, it shouldn't be, that's why definitely report it.
not being able to talk to npc's at festivals after you talked to them that day is a thing many aren't happy with so maybe if it actually causes this one to not even trigger it they'll change it

cause the event is gone but i got the notification at least 5 more times in the same year
