merfolk kingdom crash

I made to the merfolk kingdom and my game keeps crashing during cutscenes. The first crash took place when the oracle showed the cutscene of the tree. The second time, I skipped the cutscene completely to bypass the crash, and went to the oracle in her home (per the letter left for me) and then my game crashed during that cutscene. I am on Xbox series S. Why are there so many problems and no solutions??

I am also experiencing the issue with the 10th item donation at the museum and random crashes and lagging throughout gameplay. I bought this game outright and need to know when I will be able to play it like I should since I see plenty of others with the same issues and no ETA on a fix.

I’m having the same issues. I unlocked the merfolk kingdom yesterday but it crashed during the cutscenes and didn’t save so I’ve been turned off from playing after multiple crashes a day/having to start over multiple times on my Xbox Series S. Following this thread, hopefully there’s a fix soon and more stability. 🫡
I’ve really been enjoying this game but I don’t know if my sanity can handle another game crash

The devs has been informed about the museum crash and is currently working to fix this problem. As for the merfolk cutscene, we will inform our teams about this issue 🙂

Oh my gosh! I am having the same problem! The issue is that there’s so much work needed to unlock the kingdom - so every time it crashes it’s so so disappointing 😦 played the same day over 6 times now and I’m really about to give up. It’s a shame cause I’ve been telling all my Xbox friends to get this game but now it seems very unstable. Also, by the looks of all the reports, I don’t think the bug and crash fixes will happen anytime soon…. so it may just be best to put this game on the sidelines for a while ( a longggg while)

My sister is also crashing when entering cut scenes in the merfolk kingdom, specifally the Oracle chamber.

Did you manage to get through getting all the quests that come after healing the ocean ?

If we had a save point I wouldn’t be so upset with the constant crashing. This is a well thought out and beautiful game but the frustrations I’m getting I can almost no longer handle playing. 😞 every festival crashes, the diving is hit or miss on crashing. I’m so so so tired of losing all of my day’s progress.

My sisters in the same boat. She can literally only do offerings and farm. Every other activity crashes her game. Shes lost hours of progress since launch, its the worst! I talked her into getting the game , and now shes sad lol

I feel her pain. I check everyday for news of a patch. I just had to rage quit because the cherry blossom festival for year 2 made my game crash and I’m having a terrible day already I can’t take it. I’m obsessed with this game I play for so many hours on end but the non stop crashing is too much

I raged in early access due to crashing, and picked the game back up on 1.0 launch day! So i totally get it! Hopefully they add the Merfolk crashing to the top of the list with the Museum crashing, since its such a huge portion of the game. Hard to enjoy little victories like making it through clearing the ocean and then not getting the reward for doing so.

I activated the last orb/healed the last coral site again and opened the gate to the kingdom - then went to sleep to save the game and haven't gone back because I feel like it's just going to keep crashing from all the cut scenes. I proceeded with the water levels in the mines and after it crashing after getting 70% through, I haven't opened the game since. It stings having a game crash after what felt like a big accomplishment day!

I wanted to pop back in and provide an update. I am now able to progress in the museum!! So thank you all for that! I am still having crashes for cutscenes when diving, and the game seems to be lagging/stuttering a lot today. I’m sure you all are working on it but I just wanted to provide an update. Thanks for everything!

Update: I was able to get to the founders hall opening and now I can no longer enter the museum. Aaaaand my game still randomly crashes for no reason at all. Looking forward to whatever patch you guys are sending because the random crashes make me very angry.
