#Pablo repeating dialogue

He does that even leading up to his 8 heart events if you romance him. It’s insanely annoying.
This has been an issue since early access and it hasn’t been fixed.
All NPCs I have found have repeating dialogue. I think they have removed loads of dialogue in order to minimise the amount of work required for translation.
The problem is they didn’t have that many repeating dialogues before and it’s not hard to translate text. Voice acting is a different story. Also, a lot of the story dialogue is inconsistent. Such as the fact that Suki and Alice know our character from before coming to the island.
Oh I totally agree. I've seen Scott say the same nonsense day after day, despite being at 10 hearts and allegedly my boyfriend I get nothing from him. I would dump him, but that's not in the game and there doesn't seem to be any point dumping him anyway because I'm not sure he or anyone else actually knows he's even in a relationship with me...
They know your character from before because your character visited your grandparents farm when you were a kid. This is why the Twins and some other characters remember you from back in the day. Connor mentions this when you first arrive to the Island at the start of the game. So it's implied that you've been there before, parents brought you as Connor remembers your parents.
There’s no romantic dialogue at all. Apparently it changes a BIT once you’re married. But for a game that seems to be “full release”, it still seems to be lacking.
I actually know this but from a writing perspective, there really isn’t much of a laid out backstory for your character. Including the fact that you are a corporate employee. Also, in a lot of the dialogue, you are left wondering what your character asks the townies as sometimes they respond in a way as if you asked them something or made a statement. Yet, you have no idea what was said.
There never is a laid out backstory in any of the farming genre games that I'm aware of. It's always the typical basic backstory. Not sure what you expected / wanted from this game compared to the others out there. Most of them won't have anything that fleshed out, this isn't really a full blown RPG we're talking about.
I do agree with your final statement tho, wish there was more selectable dialogue options vs just "guessing" what we said, but that might be done for us to head canon what we'd say?
Most farming sim games have a basic background. You are the child or grandchild of the person who own a farm. Here, you are a grandchild of a farmer who also happens to be a corporate employee. It ironic that a corporation has moved into the island with Karen running for mayor. Who’s to say our character didn’t work for Pufferfish. When Dippa asks you a question, one of your responses is “I rather keep that to myself.” That can sound like your character is hiding something. If writers don’t explain to well that hat is going on, it creates plot holes. Yes, it’s not an rpg, but other farming sim games have a story to tell like My Time at Sandrock and Sun Haven.
