Started playing this game yesterday, and it's beautiful so far. Sadly, I'm kinda annoyed by the way the controller input works, as it's really janky with specific (important) tasks, so I decided to connect mouse and keyboard to the game, in hopes that it would work. Now I've got some mess. I can use the keyboard, but the only thing it seems to allow is to run, with WASD and the 4 directional keys. Any other buttons seems to do nothing. The mouse itself is janky too, it just doesn't work at all. But I believe that's an issue on a local end, because it doesn't seem to properly connect to the console at all. Now, before I go out of my way to try and fix the support keyboard and mouse support, I went to ask if it is even support. Could anyone help out? Thank you very much!
#Console Keyboard and Mouse Compatibility Question

I mentioned this in another thread here, depends on the console you are on. If PlayStation there's specfic K/M options you need, they are not universal.
If Xbox K/M can work but the console does not fully support K/M for every game, as it won't recognize the prepherials as "controllers" basically. So YMMV depending on the game and the K/M you use. As of right now it's a mess, as it's really difficult on console (Series X|S player here) to decorate my home due to being unable to select decor in the home and stuff.
I would be playing on a PS5, and the stuff I’d be using would be a wired keyboard and a wired mouse. How would I set it up? Or is the effort not worth it?

will get you started, also you can search online for recommended K/Ms that will work, as not every type out there will.
