Can't upgrade to golden axe without hardwood, can't chop the log with silver axe. Carpenter only start selling them at town rank B.

Anyone knows how?

Blow up with explosives! Or complete 6 bundles at the goddess temple to unlock the mid-forest which has hardwood logs that can be chopped with a silver axe

So the logs in the farm can only be chopped with a gold axe?

there is a log by the waterfall that can be chopped down with a silver axe, it will give you 5 hardwood, use that to upgrade your axe to gold, then chop down the axe on your farm and it will give you 10 hardwood
