I've entered Summer and Sam's quest where he asks for the bronze veg and fruits is still not appearing. What can i do to trigger it? I'm already and Town Rank E and I even saved the Earth Giant?? Is this a bug or am I just stupid?

I got that quest and I'm still in spring. Have you gotten any bronze fruits/vegs yet in your farm?

Tons of them i even have a gold sugarcane

It's a bug. Usually it's triggered pretty much in late spring (at least in my experience) I guess you have to let the devs know

I couldn't find the quest requirements on the wiki, but I think it may need you to earn 5,000 coins (Starting money doesn't count, you can check total earned in your journal). You may also need to spend a certain amount as well, I'm unsure

Alternatively, you may need to ship 35 or 40 crops, or 5 quality crops. (I'm trying to figure out the unlock requirements myself just through gameplay)

Also waiting on someone to figure out the trigger for this quest. I've been holding my quality crops but I sold 40 normal crops, 32 foragables and nothing. Only $4k earnings so far, $150k spent 🤣🫡

Just to try and help narrow down requirments since I just recently got the letter from Sam I believe the day prior ( Spring 12 );
1 heart for Sam
3.8k earned
60 items shipped ( though not all of those are produce, however I've sold at least one of each season's crop )
27k spent ( Mostly seeds and all the bag upgrades; I bought a tool upgrade and cherry blossom festival items )
completed the spring bundle ( however that was before the festival so I don't think that had an effect? )

Not sure if any of this helps or which one could be the possible trigger but since I just got it the day before figured I'd share.

Thank you for sharing! Hmm i have everything you did but selling one of each of the season's crops...

I guess I should clarify because I just realized I haven't sold sugar cane yet, I just got the seeds from the museum so they are planted just not grown. The others I bought all on day one or two. I didn't sell many of the foragables, just one or two bronze stars I found, and because I remembered this quest I didn't sell any quality crops. So I honestly have no idea what the trigger could be at this rate. My town rank is still F.

Ah so you also didn't sell quality crops man idk what it is 😦 town rank E, Spring 16, just sold one of each of the starter crops and still nothing.

iirc you need to ship off /sell some crops (likely some quality ones) in order for the mail from sam to send to trigger the questline
(that is if its still same as from EA)
