When I tell you I've been trying to unlock mermaids since 4:30pm MST (it is now 12:55am). The amount of trash I have collected is ridiculous (yes, in the thousands). I've completed a ton of the pillar things. I've followed the dang root until I can't anymore. It now has red sparkles on it, and I have no clue what that means. But I feel like this isn't the actual way to unlock the merpeople. I have dive suit 2.0, I saw the first cutscene with the merpeople, aaaand now I'm lost. I'm losing my mind here.
