Donating 10 items at museum Xbox series S

mmmmm whenever i donate 10 items at the museum, when the cut-scene triggers, the game freezes and suddenly i get kick out of the game, i tried to trigger it on a fresh new day, doing it as first chore of the day, but it still kicks me out of the game, so i cannot use the museum at all :'v

I was having the same issue earlier today! But a work around in the meantime is to donate 9 items sleep and then donate one more item. That finally triggered the cut scene for me. For some reason when I donated 11 or more and then exit it would crash.

I am about to post a video because I am having the same issue.

Plus there has been a tooon of lag, freezing, and crashing randomly.

Before the end of this clip it might act like it is loading to a cutscene or something and then the game completely dashboards. This of course happens right after I receive my reward from the donation.

I made a test file just to try work arounds for this glitch. And I have found another trick do not donate 10 items, donate 15 this allowed me to play the cut scene without a crash. Also try skipping the cut scene both of these seem to work occasionally

Seems like I dont have this bug on the xbox series x as I have already donated 14 times (did 7-8 in one go) so I am wondering if thats why?

I had this bug, am on series S. I had 8 items turned in and when I tried to turn in 2 more to get to 10 the screen would go black and the game would close.

My work around was to turn in one to get to 9, sleep to save and then I turned in 10 more to get to 19. The cut scene triggered and I skipped it just to make sure it wasn't a fluke. It's good to go now.

Had this issue twice, once yesterday and again today, making progress impossible. Playing on Xbox GamePass Cloud Gaming. Unfortunately, no error messages to report, the cloud gaming session just abruptly disconnects me after the black screen triggered upon donating 10th item.

^ I’m having the same problem on cloud gaming. I’ve tried skipping the cut scene and donating more items but nothing seems to be working. I never get past the black screen before the cut scene, and I’ve probably tried at least six times now

People shouldn't make new threads for repeat issues. Just adding your comment to the existing issue report is the best way to do it. I always search in here first before starting a new thread.

I agree, unplayable and it's very disappointing to run into this so quickly in the game. If I don't go to the museum it will crash randomly somewhere else.

I did changed my settings from 24 too 12 ours en then it was fixed not the lagg thats still there but not that mutch

I've donated 9 items....after many crashes, I donated one the next day. Black screen...Crash!!! Xbox S. I'm not going to play anymore until it's fixed...if ever.

If any of you have app or laptop a great work around is to play 1 day on your pc through the Xbox app. Give any thing you need to turn in into the museum then it seems to work great after that. Except after the founders hall it starts to crash again.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the game. I could then skip the cutscene without crashing. I had a few days to donate everything but then the founders hall crashes. Gives you a few days of donating though.

I can’t uninstall because I’m on Xbox Cloud Gaming. I did, however restart the whole file and got to the same part again and I still can’t get past it no matter what I do. It’s just broken for me 😞

The house decorating and museum crash will be fixed in the next update. Whenever that may be. Seeing as they got the sound and texturing issues along with a bunch of other minor things done in a week I'm sure the museum fix won't be much longer than a week or two. Here's hoping

We should report them to Microsoft for making an unplayable game on Xbox and then trying to sell it to people and then not releasing the fix for it just ignoring everyone they should have some sort of penalty

@sonic finch If you have the crash when donating ten items, just donate the items and immediately press pause. Select "I'm stuck" and allow the day to reset. It fixes the issue 🙂

@cerulean oasis its an xbox software issue and they have sent the patch off its xbox holding us up not coral Island, if this was an AAA game xbox would push right away an indie game gets put on the back burner by xbox
