#Xbox lag and controller issue

Im on an Xbox series x and there is a lot of lag. It's still playable but definitely a consistent issue. Anyone know any fixes? Also I'm playing with a mouse and keyboard but the game still notices if my Xbox controller turns off and it blocks my screen with the "controller disconnected" box. I've tried to find settings to make the mouse and keyboard my primary inputs but can't find any solutions. As of now I'm stuck having to jiggle my controller every couple minutes so it stays on.

I don't think it's lag, but an extremely high default deadzone causing the game to feel sluggish and unresponsive. Having said that, I have noticed times where pressing the triggers doesn't work. Seems to be input issues? PS5 for me though.

Nothing we can do at the moment. Best just upvote the issues relating to you in the bug report section and wait I guess. Currently the game is unplayable for me on PS5 as I have numerous bugs, one of which is game-breaking.

Sadly Xbox Series X doesn't fully support K/M inputs, as it's on a game by game basis IIRC, so you won't be able to use that on console w/o it's own set of issues. It's silly that Microsoft ... doesn't fully support K/M on their own console, yet Sony has options lol.

As far as controller issues: There's no way to turn off the default "turn controller off after x amount of minutes of non-use", but you can run a USB C cable from the console to the controller and the controller will stay on 100% of the time, did this personally for No Man's Sky. Otherwise you'll have to move the joystick every 5 or so minutes to prevent it from turning off.

I'm using controller with my Xbox series x and it stutters like crazy. I don't see any settings I can adjust, anyone have any ideas?
Was hyped for this game but music and assets chugging every 10 seconds or so. Xbox running fine with other games!

Using a USB C cable, plug it into your Xbox, and open the Xbox Accessories app in Settings, check to see if your controller needs a firmware update. There was an update pushed out over the Summer.

Besides that, check your batteries, perform a Hard Shutdown on the console itself using the power button on the console. A quick browser search will give you the steps for that. Had to do this with a few games over the years.

Huh controller did need an update! Weird it didn't notify me on the Xbox settings, still getting used to it as more familiar with Nintendo craziness 🤣

Typically it won't tell you there's an update I've found. What I began doing, is the 1st of the month, I check for an update lol.

I hope it resolves the issues for you.

Ok this is still much the same today but it's not quite as laggy as it was now I've updated controller and done a few resets.
Get music drops and frame drops and screen stutter frequently, seems like it needs some optimising for Xbox series x.
If there's some settings I can do to lower memory consumption or something let me know! Xbox is new to me, more used to PC tweaking

(I've added my points to a similar bug anyway)

Same issue here on xbox X. Leave a building or menu (not main menu, ones with crafting, town rank, inventory, quest etc) it freezes for a few seconds.

Not game breaking, but certainly frustrating given the consistency it's happening.
