Xbox s crash at museum

I’ve had the game crash repeatedly at the museum when the cutscene for the 10 museum item donations is triggered

I can confirm I've had this happen all 3 times I tried to watch the cut scene

For anyone else looking for this skipping the cut scene will prevent the crash.

I don’t even have the option to skip cut scene. It goes black and then back onto main screen - is that what it did for you?

That happened to me as well then on my second or third attempt I got the prompt. I would try to hold the skip key as it goes black and then attempt to skip it by holding down the button again.

every time I've tried it gets to a different point in the cutscene and fails it's sometimes straight away and the furthest it gets is where the video cuts off

The same exact thing happens when you click the start main event button at the cherry blossom festival, both cutscenes crash the game completely:(

So I'm trying to record exactly what happens to share here, but the problem now is that the cutscene now gets to play but it crashes midway or when it ends (or I hit the skip button) I'm sharing a video very shortly

So basically yesterday everytime the cutscene would play it just went straight to blackscreen and then crash. Today for some reason is letting the cutscene play but it crashes midway or as you see in the clip, it crashes even after holding the skip button

It just gives a blackscreen and then just crashes the game

What made the cutscene play now and not yesterday? Idk really, but it keeps crashing haha

But yeah, that's the bug/crash I'm experiencing with the museum cutscene

you maybe able to skip it earlier then that if you hold I believe X as soon as you trigger the cutscene but, yeah sucks I am seeing if I can come up with a work around for people until the patch

Rejoice ye faithless for I have come again to help. I made a test file just to try work arounds for this glitch. And I have found another trick do not donate 10 items, donate 15 this allowed me to play the cut scene without a crash. It has worked all 5 times I tried it so far

try skipping the cut scene or donating up to 15 items instead of 10 these have had decent results so far to get past that crash

@jaunty river I just tried donating up to 15 and I still got the crash as soon as the screen faded to black. I was really hoping that would work but I'll just have to be patient and wait for a fix I guess

@mossy locust hi! I’m managed to avoid this error but am now also having it crash when I’ve got the Scott upgrade (he’s come to my house in the morning and I had the cut scene.) any time I try to enter the museum, it will crash

Idk how, but what worked for me was I held the Xbox button right after donating (and not claiming the reward) and let the "turn off console" menu come up, kept it there, until i saw the cutscene start in the background, backed out of the "turn off console" menu and immediately skipped the cutscene but idk if this works or is like a coincidence or something lol the cutscene had never even started before I did that, so

I switched over to the pc gamepass and played through this scene. Then after the day was over, went to bed. I then shut down after waking up and switched back over to the x box gamepass version and have not had any problems.

No problem, I am finding myself having to do that quite a bit. I had to go to the pc version to get Sam's (general store) quest to trigger. I remembered from playing early access that it triggered in the spring but I was in summer and had not gotten it yet.

May I ask is it the museum upgrade cutscene? How many items have you donated so far? 🙂

No. I got the cut scene - the ones where you are escorted and see the pickstarter statues - but since then I can’t enter the museum at all without it crashing.
I think it’s 50 that I’ve donated but I can’t remember as it’s been a couple days since I was able to access the museum to look

@mossy locust ummm it has not been fixed everything I go into the museum it black screens and then crashes I just tried it again it's been 24 hours already I have already past the cut scenes and upgraded my museum but now I can not enter at all with it my game crashing

Plus now the game just keeps crashing on newrly every cut scene my fiancee and i have

Cause from looking at past updates devs are taking 3-4 to do updates when bugs should be fixed so much faster then that to keep the game enjoyable and to keep from losing players I'm sorry but the company who owns this game also owns the new ark and bugs in that game are getting fixed so much quicker then bugs on here bug fixes shouldn't be waiting for major updates they should be fixed before hand to avoid causing more major peoble.s that make the game unplayable because from what I'm seeing there are far to many glitches and problems with the game and yall only fix said problems and bugs during major updates and its only causing more problems eventually the game will become unplayable not trying to be rude or sound ungrateful but bugs should be fixed before adding new content

I was just looking through this part of the Server, to find a place to report the exact thing that you all experienced here.

I am playing Coral on my Xbox One for about a Week now on cloud Gaming I think….and 2 Days ago when I donated some artifacts that I got from some treasure thingies…..

(Sorry, im from Germany. I usually speak very good English but my Brain ist just Mush right now)

.So just so, that I understand what I have to do, ist either wait with the museum till this is fixed, or to make my Game not crash, ist donate 15 things, instead of 10?

Your English is just fine! But there is already a patch on the way just waiting to be certified by console so you could technically just hold on to the items so you don’t risk a crash. It shouldn’t be too much longer if you want to wait

It is fixed, problem for us gamepass users is that the update needs to be aproved first by microsoft in order to be released
