Tips : Rank up the townrank asap to D
[F] : you start from townrank F and they are available from the start
*needs
Keg = Farming Lvl 6
Loom = Ranching Lvl 6
Beehouse = Catching lvl 6
Aging barrel = Farming lvl 10 [Coming soon on 1.0 release]
spring
- Potato [F], its good for your first spring when anything else is still locked
- Sugarcane [D], it regrows everyday. You can sell it straight away
- strawberries [D], turn them into juice on keg
^strawberries are good for late game, it's also one of the best to plant inside the greenhouse. ^
Summer
- hot pepper [F], it last 2 season (Summer and fall) therefore can be good for starter & your first summer
- Wheat [F], turn them into beer in keg
- pineapple [D], turn them to juice
^^ pineapple is quite expensive for starter but its good at late game. Turn them to juice at keg and then wine at aging barrel^^
Fall
- rice [F], for its cheap seed proce sell a lot when turn into sake at keg
- pumpkin [E], its regrowabble. And sells for nice amount
- fairy rose[C], turn them to honey
- Cactus [B], IS THE GOAT. The best one. Turn it to honey at the bee house and then place it on aging barrel. It can worth 10K Each per cactus mead
Winter (all winter seed available only at rank c)
- cotton, you can harvest them 3 times on winter. Make cotton cloth on the loom (need to lvl up ranching to craft looms)
^^id say cotton is better for late game^^ - Snowdrop, it last on winter and spring. Turn them to honey might be a good choice
The might be mistake on the town rank unlock of seed. and who knows they will be changed in the 1.0 release. But hope it helps!
extra tips
For starter, you can roam around the map and find the Forageabble item, sell them to get some money to buy some seeds..
- keep some Forageabble so you can complete the offerings early
Here is a website guide by alex to check which Forageabble you should keep (just keep one)

You'll find making money is incredibly easy (I would say too easy, since there aren't many consistent, big money sinks in the game), especially once you get animals and multi-harvest crops and steady income from their processed products. Things you need to buy repeatedly like seeds actually become very cheap the more you scale up.
It depends. It can be as hectic as above or as chill as you want. Forage everything and upgrade your bag. Then follow the story.
