For me, Surya/Luke/Kenny (they feel a bit bland) and Chaem/Leah (I'm not fond of the "get out of my way" type ^^). Also probably Charles: he looks like uncooked dough X) Very effective and interesting design, but not for in-game romantic involvement!

Although... I'll still probably date everyone to view all the cutscenes and events; but from a RP point of view, my character would definitely not be into these ^^

Charles looks like my brother, I can't ever go for any redheads, especially ones with beards. I'd feel bad making Ben live on the farm with me, also he's not my type. Can't romance Suki, I don't want kids, and I just don't vibe with Alice. Idk, kinda boring? Kenny is cute but his attitude is just... Idk too naive to be attractive imo.

This is the first farming sim type game where I actually feel like I have options! There are so many I would consider. The only one I'm not interested in is Charles because something strikes me as a little off about him. Also, I'm really only interested in the guys.

Charles and Ben absolutely not. And it's a shame because there are not a lot of ' older ' options... I mean, I'm the mother's of 4 boys .. I don't want to date a NPCS who look like my oldest son 😆

Oh I have a few! Charles, Ben, Raj, Suki, Leah, Kenny, Surya maybe Aaliyah I almost always forget she exists entirely tbh. This is mostly a visually I’m not interested in them but that may change if I get to know them and their storyline shakes my heart a bit

Alice because she seems like the type to leave everything to chance instead of making any type of effort. I like her sister way more because Suki seems like she actually does the work.

I actually get a different vibe. A few different lines of dialogue indicate that Alice spends a lot of time planning and thinking through ideas for the Inn, and Suki just comes in and carpet bombs them. Suki seems like a wet blanket.

I do really appreciate the diversity here. And it helps that not every character is going to be everyone's type. A lot of games have the romance options be quite flat in order to make them more "universally appealing"...

All of them probably. There are things I like and don't like about everyone and I don't want to settle on the "least worst". Rather be single... That might change once I see more of the cutscenes.

Not really interested in either Ben or Charles, mainly because I'm not a nomad and I like flowers.

I'm really torn on whether I want to date Surya. He was a bit whiny and picked some of the worst places to move into. I get he wants his independence, but I don't want to get married and he decides he wants to live in a stable or something.

Oooh, which does beg the question: Will the narrative change based on who you date/marry? I mean, Surya is a marine biologist, so would the game become more waterway heavy, vs if you dated/married Mark or Scott where cave adventures would be more your style? Or if dating/marrying Wakku, would there be an astronomy storyline or games to support that?

Granted, that would be a big undertaking to flesh out and would probably come in stages, if that were the case. But it does sound interesting, no? To have a different story/gaming experience based on who you marry? That way you can play it several different times and have a different playthrough each time.

I highly highly doubt it. There may, and this is a big may, be a side quest where you have to get something from the ocean but with Surya specifically he talks and notices your help with the ocean cleanup and compliments you for all the hard work you put in. That sounds like dlcs way way WAY down the line but I could see them adding small side quests to build friendship up. Kind of like the giants @lyric bay

Haha, it's what I mean. Alice gives me the vibe that she has all these ideas but they stay in her head while Suki actually implements her own. We can agree to disagree but I'll never put-down a take-charge attitude from a single working mother. Suki's can-do will-do attitude is what I like about her. Plus she's friends with Ben so I know she isn't a vibe killer, lol.

I get it, honestly. Like yes, mods are coming and the dateables list is big enough to make it hard to pick one but for some people, one character would make it a non-question.

I wouldn't be like "should I marry Wakuu, Theo, Rafael, Lily, etc.???" if Agung were dateable 🤷🏾‍♀️ Doesn't matter if there were 12, 28, or 50 options, it would be case closed.

I'm not mad at the devs or think they should do anything about it, I just understand the disappointment when I imagine whoever my favorite dateable was suddenly not being an option.

I really thought I was going to go after Mark (like I did in beta), but I actually clicked more with Scott. Now if I could just get his heart events to trigger! (Already at 8 hearts, almost 9, and have given him a locket.) I'll just bide my time until he realizes I exist. 😂 😭

Definitely cannot do Scott. He seems too much like a frat bro in a bad way. I wasn’t a huge fan of his but a lot of his dialogue revolves around hitting on lots of the different female characters and makes me super uncomfortable.

I do absolutely agree though about the background NPCs being too hot. I would burn down my farm for Senja and Axel but I also love so many of the romanceable characters I literally had to make a list of the ones I want to romance first 😂
