Stuck on Diving after getting suit translation module | Stairway Games | Page 1

Recently started the game and I seem to be stuck after doing 23 beacons. I've ran into the mermaids, had the cutscene where I presumably got the Diving Suit 2.0 with the translation module, and have access to silver kelp. Quest says to follow the retreated root, which, I did, and cleared all three beacons down there, but I'm still blocked from going any deeper. Additionally, I can't understand what the turtles are saying, nor can I go into the cave right now. I've checked all three parts of the map that show links to areas I haven't been, and all three continue to be blocked by black roots.

Is there something I'm missing? Or have I maybe encoutered some sort of bug?

They retreat as you approach 🙂

Majority of oceans vines you need to walk directly on/at for them to retreat (once out of into 20/20 area)
