Advice for Mining/Ores

I've just finished my first in game year and i feel ive progressed nicely (i know everything is resetting) the one thing ive had difficulty/not enjoyed has been the caves and mining. I run out of ore really fast and usually only collect about 30 ore spending about half a day in the mines. Any advice on mining in general?

I have combat setting toggled to ‘hit to aggro’

I prefer to run lvl 1-10 anytime I’m going back in for resources, mostly bc smaller floor sizes

But running 5/15/25 is also popular

Big thing that helps is getting enchants (rare/extra/hit drop are the golden trio) on pickaxe & using pickaxe to clear everything
(Bombs won’t get enchant Bene fits, only skill perks, so pickaxe with enchants is the way to go)
