#Is Fertilizer 3 broken or do Auto-Harvesters lessen the quality of crops?

The Fert3 description says "This will grow better quality crops if mixed with soil" where as Fert2 says "There is an excellent chance to grow better quality crops if mixed with soil". My crops are currently Osmi level I've used Fert3 in the Green House to grow coffee year round and I have an Auto-Harvester on the sprinklers to save time. I am growing coffee in the field as well, but with only Fert2. They are also harvested with auto harvester. The Coffee in the field is mostly gold quality when harvested, with 284 being Gold and 217 being Osmi out of 640 total field crops. When it comes to the Green House I expected them all to be Osmi level based off the description, but most of it is Gold with 69 being Gold and 42 being Osmi out of a total crop of 124. The Gold% for the Field is ~44.4% while the Green House is ~55.6%. The Osmi% for the Field and the Green House is ~33.9%. I guess my real two fold question is; Is Fert3 supposed to give you a higher quality crop than your current quality level or does it just increase the chance of gold quality crops, and does the Auto-Harvesters have an effect on the quality of the produced crop compared to harvesting it with he scyth or hand harvesting?

All fertilizers increase chance of higher quality crop, but none guarantee osmium. It’s just a higher percent chance between fertilizer 2 and 3, the way upgrading seeds gives a higher chance. There’s always going to be a chance of lower quality yields no matter what. Auto harvester should trigger the same perks, but any enchantment or ring bonuses will not be applied.

Thank you, the wording just made me think the it would guarantee Osmi cause that was my current level.

But also doesn't that make Fert3 kind of useless if the osmi chance is the same, given my field is a bit larger, but still. A 10%~12% increase in Gold quality isn't that huge except for very large scale farms. With the resource cost of Fert3 being so high Fert2 seems the way to go with those odds.
