#I moved my shed and lost everything
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Can you restart your day?
I tried but alas nothing. Even tried the "I'm stuck" feature and nothing.
The 'I'm Stuck' feature is only for if your character is literally stuck and unable to move.
It sends you to the next day automatically, as though you had collapsed of exhaustion
The next part - if you're on Gamepass, then there's unfortunately not much more that can be done to help you. If you're on Steam, then it depends on how many in-game days it has been since your artisan machines disappeared.
Im on Steam and only 2 days have passed

It should help you find a backup and restore it. It will take you back to before you moved the shed, but better lose two days of progress than a full shed of resources?
I'd rather lose a few days progress definitely because if it can't be fixed I might stop playing because of all the hard work lost
Ok it worked but I am completely bugged out x3
as in my character does nothing not move just uses the pickaxe
The "Im stuck" fixed it and everything is there so tysm for saving my sanity and copium
😅
For now, if something happens (e.g., something goes missing) and you don't know how to work around it, it's advised to quit the game without sleeping - if you sleep, it gets baked into the save, usually.
Ooh good to know I will keep that in mind for next time x3 but the main thing is for now it all works so I have my game I go to when stressed back
Hey this just happened to me. For extra clarity: I put hay into my silo and moved my barn and lost ALL my hay. I put my artisanal machines / chests of materials in my shed, moved the shed and lost everything.
Can Dinda like say a warning, please, before we move our buildings? It's a hell of a lotta work to go manipulate the game's save files and honestly, ideally the customer shouldn't have to do that. Please, please, just add a line of dialogue "Before we move this, please remove all items so they don't get lost."
Edit -- I also lost a full week having to reset the save file. This is making me dislike the game -- please please add a warning for people.
It's probably a bug, and not meant to be like that in the game so the carpenters wouldn't ever display a "warning", as I had no issues with it in v0.5 moving items. You can also wait till you get t||he research table thing from Level 3 R&D and move things that way and see||. I've tested both ways in v0.5 and v1.0 and haven't had that bug happen to me yet.
That's really not helpful.
Just because one person hasn't encountered this doesn't mean it's not an issue.
I'm only trying to explain that it's most likely a bug, as not everyone is experiencing it, so why would there be a warning at the carpenter shop for bugs that players experience.
it doesn't matter if it's intended or not --- it has been happening to people's games for TWO years.
I see Reddit posts going back two years with this issue - the devs obviously know about it.
I'm only saying, the game is not going to warn you about bugs like this. You're taking my comments the wrong way.
Dude this really isn't helping the situation
I'm really, really starting to hate the game now
So i lose a week, all my items, I go to say "hey, maybe give a warning so this doesn't happen to people." and I'm told to shut up.
Great. What a great game
I've literally been playing this game hard core since June and this has me so turned off.
I never once asked you to shut up. I'm only telling you that the game is not going to "warn" you of game breaking bugs like what you and others are experiencing. Again, you're taking what I'm saying the wrong way. Please just take a breath.
Please just quit being so rude.
Yeah you really need to read what theyre actually saying and not the meaning youre putting on it.
If losing the stuff inside were an intended feature, then yes, there should be a warning. However, it isn't intended, it's a bug, devs arent going to code warnings in for every possible bug as the game would be unplayable.
As it is, I'm finding most people are frustrated at this game being the first 'full release' and it has a lot of issues. It's got a lot of potential, and if it was all working as intended with all the content available then I'd go so far to say number 1 game in the genre. But so many things just don't work.
Please don't try to re-start a fight
I spent all night in a very dark place because of some of the comments people said to/about me in the general chat yesterday and I don't see the need to rehash this again. I'm so sorry I'm alive and here and bothering you.
Just so you know, I have no ill will or feelings towards you. Things got out of hand and we could have handeled it better. In the end, I'm glad you're here, and hope that you can still enjoy the game.
I don't and never had any ill-will towards you. I'm sorry I came here and bothered everyone.
