#Game Crashes Every 1-2 In-Game Days

I’m playing on a steam deck. I’ve been playing for about 6 months with only occasional crashes, but since this last update, I experience crashes every time I play. They happen every 1-2 in-game days, and it’s always after I go to sleep. I’ll go to sleep like normal, then the screen turns black and freezes, and the crash report comes up. I can’t think of any other patterns—I stayed up until just before midnight this time, but I can’t remember if that’s been the case for the other crashes.

About 25% of the time I’m able to submit the crash report from my deck, but the majority of the time it crashes my entire deck and I have to shut the deck off and back on.

Let me know if I can supply any other information to help, I know that this isn’t much!

For Steam Deck, please check 'compatdata' (file path: /home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata).

From there, you will see lots of folder with random number, Coral Island folder should be the one with code number '1158160'.

Enter that folder, into the pfx folder, then drive_c folder, then you can follow the file path here: Users<username>\AppData\Local\ProjectCoral\Saved\Crashes (the .xml file) to find the crash log 🙂

I apologize for being slow—I just read that article a bunch of times, but I’m still not understanding. I don’t see anywhere in it that actually says how to get my steam files to you. Note—as far as computers, all I have access to is my work laptop, which is a MacBook. I am unable to download steam on it for obvious reasons.

Do you remember what your in-game activities just before you expriencing crash on sleep? 🙂

Most of the crash recently has something to do with auto chest, do you have any interaction with auto chest? 🙂

I haven’t actually crafted the auto chest, so nope. I don’t remember the particulars of what I was doing except that it does seem to happen on “fuller” days, ie I spent more time decorating (outside only) and stayed up a bit later than normal (but went to bed before midnight)

When you decorating the outside, do you mean editing the layout of your farm? Do you do that by architect desk or in carpenter? 🙂

Sometimes it was just placing paths, etc; sometimes carpenter, sometimes architect

If you played the game again without decorating your farm using architect desk or carpenter, is the game still crash? 🙂
