Is anyone else not finding gems in the mines anymore? I've gone through at least 15 floors in each of the mines and have only found 2 gems and even then they were in geodes.

I've been playing for 2 (real world) days now and have found 3 geodes/gems. Does anyone know if this counts as a bug or did the devs change the algorithm? It's getting really frustrating after clearing multiple floors in multiple gates.

Gem nodes or geodes? Those are 2 very different things and the nodes don’t like to show up

I've been finding some geodes and no gem nodes. I ended up using merit points so I can upgrade my mining skill and that did help with finding more geodes but I have found 0 gem nodes in the last few (real world) days.

Nodes are extremely rare, I usually don't see more than a couple in a run if I'm very lucky. Gems are now mainly from geodes, so that tracks yep
Enchantments and perks will also increase geode drop rate but not gem node spawn rate. I do miss them though, they had a nice spark of colour

Even when a gem node did pop for me, it was almost always Quartz, it seemed. 🥲

Geodes are becoming ahrder to find, been trying to find a black jade for the alter for ages and no luck

it feels like fossils are messing up the geode drop rates because i find like maybe 1 geode for every 10 fossils... with my pickaxe having high rarity stats and stuff

At least I'm not the only one lol. I am definitely finding a ton of fossils too. Hopefully the devs will tweak it a bit; who knows.

yeah so i farmed like 9 floors in the earth shaft cuz i need the earth geodes for the gem i need.... i mined every single rock

I finally unlocked the dig site! Upside, I found 5 geodes. Down side, I can't open any of them. Sigh
