Heal the Coral Tree Quest

i just supposedly (?) finished the "Heal the Coral Tree" quest (3rd ocean area, after you meet the mermaids/naga.) i cleared all the garbage/gates and got the cutscene with the water dragon naga being freed and swimming around.

and... nothing else happened? no mermaids came to me. no clear indication of where to go/what to do. i went back to the mermaid kingdom and the dragon is just chilling there but no other cutscenes triggered, nor are any of the named mermaids around.

the game will let me dive into the next area with the next level kelp/deeper and darker dive area. but there's no cutscene or anything. am i missing something here?? was something supposed to trigger, or?

all help appreciated and pls tag me in your response cause i might miss it otherwise >.< thanks!

oh also the quest won't actually let me clear it, it still says heal the coral tree, not sure if it just went buggy or the coral tree is still further in

I guess you have to clear the last area (the one with osmium kelps) @regal thistle

Personally that's what I'm doing. I cleared all the area with gold kelps, nothing changed so I'm currently on the last area

The Naga cutscene is it for gold zone, but you can talk to everyone at the kingdom for some dialogue regarding the change. Osmium area has to be completed to actually heal the coral tree. There’s a few cutscenes once that area is cleared.
