I adopted a pet about 1 in-game month ago and it still has 0 hearts. There's a section in Relationships to see what gifts it likes (once you give them), like the NPCs, but I don't get the option to gift things to it.

Reviving a dead post, but I for some reason my friendly Treecko the Lizard isn't gaining any hearts after over a year (in game). Any other known bugs for something like this? I can't find any other issues than this one post.

Are ya'll talking to it every day? That's the only interaction I can think of to raise hearts at the moment. If so, it might be worth submitting a bug. It's also a pretty slow process, I think I gained 5 hearts in about a year of daily chats.
