Any Updates on Switch Release?

Way back during the Kickstarter, I selected the Switch for my Key version. I really don't like that I barely use the thing, so I thought having such a great idea to play on it would help with that (⁠ ⁠◜⁠‿⁠◝⁠ ⁠)⁠♡

I remember something about October 9th (Which is actually my birthday (⁠◍⁠•⁠ᴗ⁠•⁠◍⁠)⁠❤), but I can't remember if that was the planned console release date, or just the date the game fully releases on Steam? I'm not complaining, mind you. I'm just looking forward to finally playing the game. I've felt like I've missed out on a bit, including the charity bits, because I didn't have the Steam version of the game.

That would have been amazing for your birthday ! But sadly, that won't be the release date, I'm afraid

"October 9th" might be an echo of the recent announcement :

Expect a full release on PC first, then the game should be at some point available on consoles.

It's nowhere near ready for full release! We are not even a month into the fall/merfolk update, and the next one is going to be 1.0 so there'll be a lot.

October 9th as Larenty said - is for if you want to change the key, because some people won't be getting a PS5 but originally backed for a PS key. If you want to switch to Steam first, you'll have to contact them directly.

can we change our switch key for a steam key in general???
Wife and i are getting really sad we can't come join the fun and play together still. backed switch thinking it might be released ready for our trip to japan to keep us occupied on the flight (leaving end of oct) and that doesn't look likely now at all (._.; )
With the news of it coming to PS5 and NOTHING about switch update its getting very disheartening to say the least as its been so long and seeing everybody else play for all this time (; - ; ) Can we just change to steam please we wanna play now

However, the news for PS5 is honestly just so people who backed for PS key can change it, because they've confirmed it's not coming out for PS4. Consoles are definitely coming out later regardless of platform

Hopefully you get it sorted! I think only a couple of the backer outfits are available? Mythical pets etc aren't out yet

I worry this game will take more then a year to release on switch if ever….sad i backt this on kickstarter.Will say no more 😾😡 feel scammed….

Games take years to develop, expecting shorter timeframes is unrealistic
