Currently on year 2, I definitely have shipped a lot of crops, however, with the recent new updates I'm mostly just shipping artisan, I try to process them. The quest hasn't really started for me at all. I also don't really watch Farmer Jeff. What am I missing?

Same! I am already on my year 4 and earning 200k/ship. I still havent seen the Farmer Jeff side quest and I really want that to get the ageing barrel.

It’s not a quest in your quest log. You get the mail from Jeff by leveling up farming mastery and selling raw crops
It’s been part of game since at least 0.2 and probably before then. He’ll also send you a sprinkler and mayo machine in mail prior to the barrel. Did you finish the Sam produce quest? That usually helps you get a good way through the Jeff mail requirements

@twilit shadow I’ve completed the produce quest, all my crops and produce are osmium grade, already in year 4 with nothing left to do except completing cookbook and museum offerings. Already level 8 on all skills except fishing. B on town level. I wonder why I still haven’t encountered side quest from Jeff.

If farming is level 8 and you’ve shipped at least 100+ raw crop you should receive mail with the items. It’s not a quest you can track, it won’t show up in journal.

Hmm for raw crop I’m not sure if I have. I must not have reached a 100 there yet bc I always put all of them in the keg

Did you get a sprinkler in the mail? Did you get a mayo machine in the mail? Did you get an aging barrel in the mail? If you answer yes to any of these you are doing the “quest”.

Hm I haven't gotten them 😦 I guess I should stop processing my products and try to ship them raw til I get something and see.
