#Animal relationships no longer working?

What season are you in? Winter and summer temperatures affect them which can make heart levels take longer if you don’t have the temperature machine.
Bought them at the end of spring, but am now in summer
Good to know that summer weather can affect them as well (thought it was only winter)
However, I would have expected (after 8 days) to at least have one heart level 🤷♀️
I would think so too. Maybe try another day or two and if no hearts then post in the bug channel. I know coops and barns have had a lot of bugs since the beta.
Fair enough; I may also try getting a temperature machine to see if that kick starts something (since it's needed eventually anyway) 🤷♀️
Yeah they are nice to have for winter.
And I just got my cow/sheep recently, and am curious to see whether the shearing/milking mechanics might also have a different way of kickstarting (should be using same mechanic though)
If you don’t have temp machine you’re not raising hearts in summer or winter. They will be cranky and sick half that season.
Interesting... I actually was wrong on the animal age. The chicken/goose were 11 days old (8 of those days in spring) with no hearts. However, by day 14 (I think???) they had somehow "magically" gained a heart ❤️ (even in summer with no temp machine)! I do have temperature machines now, so we'll see how soon the cow/sheep get a heart.
Summer isn’t as bad as winter, but a lot of people have had no progress in either season. Temp machine is pretty cheap at ranch
Animal heart gain is also rebalanced and will seem slower than previous (bc all animal hearts were gaining far faster than intended previously iirc)
My sheep have full hearts, and I've installed an autopetter and temperature machine in the barn, but they're both "cranky"
also I'm in the middle of spring right now
