i'm very new to this game. i'm confused on how to repair my house in this specific quest. i tried going inside the house, didn't see a thing to repair, same with the outside. can anyone help?

it should tell you to collect resources and then it'll tell you to go to the carpenters

i did both of those things. talked to both people in the carpenters house but hey didn't mention the question. ran back home and i don't see anything to repair.
