I'm a bit at a loss, I've tried following a lot of the advice given to others who can't find orbs like look in other areas, take a swipe at the environment and let trash respawn for a few days but I'm not finding any solar orbs for this coral and without it I can't progress 😭 any other tips anyone can offer? The black is the blocked off path and the red X is the one I can't find an orb for in the picture.

I wish I could help. I'm still stuck on mine. Everyone saying "wait a week and try again" the trash just isn't piling up for me. So I'm keeping tabs on every chat mentioning this issue to try and hope someone has a different solution at some point. Or hopefully that a dev will take pity on us and help.

It's so disheartening especially when the trash is barely piling up and I'm literally clearing all areas in case it's one of those that are in a different place

They posted in the dev diary channel that they plan to update the solar orb radius. I hope they just make it easier to spawn too.
So hopefully by the next hot fix, we should be okay.

Exactly the same thing happened to me and I fixed it by resetting the anchor location^^
Then you spend 4 days, without diving at all and you return to that area and it appears among the garbage

Where about did it respawn for you? I’m convinced that maybe I’m missing something but I have scoured this area and surrounding areas for trash multiple times. Still no orb! So frustrating!! I want gold kelp so badly

Not sure what you are playing on I’ve only encountered something similar once and the orbs were simply slightly out of sight on was at the bottom edge and I only saw it because I was swimming all around and the second was behind a rock but I’m on pc and never had to go back after a certain amount of time

Yep I’m having this same issue!
Hi Kytte! some orbs might appear quite far from the coral sites, is there any other area you haven't explored or cleaned yet? 😄

@ionic shadow No it was definitely not that haha. I had completed and cleared ALLL other areas. Like no trash spared and even swiped at areas where visibility was impossible in case there was a trash pile hiding.
In the end the solution to reset anchor and wait four days worked for me. I removed all the trash that respawned and the solar orbs appeared. A bug?

oh i see! it sounds like the orb did appeared before, but maybe it was hiding from your view a little bit, and going to sleep make it got swept by the ocean current. but by letting the trash reappeared again, it respawns the orb again!
so you're able to continue exploring the underwater now yeah? :>
