I've been feeding them, making sure to let them out during good weather days, and petting them, but they're just okay. Am I a bad rancher :(?

No, there was just a change to the animal system. Make sure you buy a heater from jack

You need a temp control machine in the barn if you don’t have one. Winter and summer make them unhappy now because they get cold/hot

I forgot to mention, i bought the temp machine and put them in the buildings but they’re still just ~okay~

They have temp control, hay, you let them out and there’s grass, you pet them, there’s room to roam? You don’t let them out during weather events?

all yes! It’s weird they’re happy when they’re outside, so I might be in the clear? i just want my babies to be happy 😭

Usually if they haven’t been let out/pet their mood is just ok and either improves or drops based on actions after that.
