Hey yall! I posted this on reddit but it didn't get any responses except for one, who is also having the same problem as me.

On the map, I've been trying to find the third monument, on the left, at the top of the map (pictured). I've cleared every single nook and cranny, but I cannot find ANYTHING. I still get the moving black tendrils that go away when you enter the area (only for the top part of the map).

I need to find this one, because I cannot progress any further until I find this one, that will unlock the other areas.

Anyone have the same problem? and possibly a solution? ☹️

When I did this area in beta I found orbs in the areas I’ve circled. They are a long way away from it.

Nope, no Orb. I am not sure if me using the TRash Collector in front of the cave, messed things up.

I guess i will wait a few days before i get back there to see if respawned trash will help finding it.

Trash collector cannot discover orbs , it only gathers trash

You need to manually clear trash yourself (with scythe or vortex’s) for orbs to spawn

I do clear it up myself, I just used the collector once, and I wonder if the orb was supposed to spawn there, but did not because of the collector.

Rechecked the areas after letting some of the trash respawn in, still nada ☹️ not sure if I need to let it sit longer so a ton of trash can gather, or if it's bugged out and I have no hope lmfao

Same as above, orbs and monuments were usually in different areas

Leave it a few days to respawn trash and try again. It will be there somewhere

Two ingame weeks and still no orb. Will reload and wait two more weeks so a whole season went by, before i go down there again. That will hopefully respawn enough trash to trigger the orb.

are you using a trash collector anywhere (doesn’t have to be nearby)? Some have reported that once placed orbs disappear/won’t appear. Could be that’s what is happening. Also, you need to clear far and wide trash not just what’s close by for some of the deep ocean ones

Waited three weeks ingame, and no orb. I did use the trash collector once the first time i reached the last cave. I used it right before the cave. Never again after that though,but no orb appears anymore even when i wait weeks before i go there again.

I cleared the whole area from the picture above and the one right below the bugged monument

How far away can those orbs usually be? Everywhere or in a certain radius?

Not wholly sure. I know sometimes they can be in adjoining areas where like other monuments are and stuff. But I’m also almost a whole season in waiting for a respawn tbh.

But looking at the map that’s been detailed and posted, I would assume they stay in their like…diving radius area? In their zones is a way to put it?

In deep ocean they can be pretty far.

ive foud an orb 3 areas away from the location before.... go down, and try find any pathways you have not done yet... keep clearing by hand. sometimes a spot opens up that ive been in before, and i just had not gotten to it, or it opened up unexpected areas. so what you can do, is go to start of ossium kelp area, open map and piece by piece backtrack and check through

Just best to clear all trash everywhere as you go along

Oh god I have the exact same problem with the exact same monument. I've been waiting for trash to respawn and clearing it for pretty much all of the 50m zone that I've cleared so far, everyday for 3 in game weeks now and still nothing.

Sorry I'm not posting anything helpful, but you're not alone with this problem and hopefully someone will have a solution. I'll be following this post in hopes that they do.

oh my god im so glad I'm not the only one with thus glitch! I cleared the 40-50 area of all trash, kelp, and anything I can pick up just in case it's hiding, but no luck.

I've also tried letting trash accumulate over the course of a couple days and one or two weeks (in game time), but still nada.

Are you also getting the moving black roots when you start to enter the top area? I have them, almost like the game thinks I haven't cleared that area left, but they move out of the way as I start to get to the very top

Yep, same as you I get the black roots which will retract to the area with the incomplete monument and then disappear.

It's really frustrating not being able to progress further until a piece of trash to spawn a solar orb appears, which could take weeks/months/an in game year?

Just piling on to this thread - I am having this exact issue which is really frustrating because I've no other quest left to do in the game so i'm just intensively farming and building relationships but it's getting pretty monotonous at this point. The area it happened at for me was by the dragon skeleton, the orb popped up but i was running out of time in game and so went to bed, thinking I'd come back the next day to find it. I was rushing my day so I used a Vortexanator on the trash and the orb didn't show up and it's been that way ever since. The whole area is still completely empty of trash - none has respawned - and it's been about a season and a half at this point since. I've gone to other areas to clear trash but nothing has shown up 😦

Yes! It's been one season for me, trash has respawned for me, but still no luck on the orb respawning. I guess we are just SOL on this until the next bug update?

Same problem here.. I was using the trash collector for a bit too but took it out once the last orb didn't show up.. looks like I'll be waiting awhile but the sounds of it.. 😭

I rerolled a Backup tbh. I feel like I would have to wait forever if the orb shows up at all. Now in this save I did not use the trash collector in front of the dragon cave, and voila there was the orb for the third monument.

I would've loved to go back to a save point before this happened, but I was so confident that I was just overlooking it, and after that, I thought it would reappear if I let the trash accumulate. But now I'm a season and a half past when this happened, unlocked and changed and improved stuff in the game, so I can't go back to a save without losing all of it ☹️

HEY YALL - so, semi update, but I left my anchor around the spot of the monument I'm stuck at - log offer for the night - I just got on and went diving where I left the anchor, and I saw a orb slowly melting into the ground before I could do anything

I’ve seen that visual before - it’s just a visual thing sometimes where a solar site (not orb afaik but the main post) returns to ground when you first dive as if it just finished its beam cleaning the area

I’ve marked the area where from my play testing the orb spawned for the site you have greyed out

How odd! This is so frustrating. I just did another sweep through the entire area (including the spot you circled) but still nothing. I was hoping from the patch update that maybe it would be sorted out.
