When i try to put the pet bed in the house it says "cannot be placed here" it does not come out like to even try placing it (if that makes sense)

The bug is decor mode maybe not working correctly and pets disappearing if you don’t have pet beds instead of pet house (or together with)
Even in beta you didn’t need to enter decor mode to place an item, just to move furniture etc

FWIW I have always had to use Decor Mode to place furniture. Like, since the very beginning. And again, no indoor pet without an indoor bed isn't a bug, it's the way it's designed.

For most of us decor mode is what you needed to move furniture but not for initial setting. I’ve never had it work like this before in any of my saves or even in beta. As for pets, they’re still WIP so there should be mechanisms to prevent adoption if you only have a pet house instead of bed to avoid the issue. It’s still a bug in that users aren’t warned they need indoor beds/housing for the pet.
Most people aren’t going to know that’s what’s going on, and pets disappearing isn’t intended end result either, just the result of no outdoor pathing set currently

I cannot bring myself to call something working as designed a bug, that word means something specific - broken code that isn't doing what it's supposed to do. It's work in progress, for sure, but "no pet appearing inside without an indoor pet bed" is exactly how it's meant to work. Not a bug, just unfinished. 🤷♂️
