hi! i’m currently diving in the osmium area of the ocean and i have to swing my scythe like three times. i went to upgrade it from silver to gold but it requires 5 hardwood (i should mention im playing on the beta rn). where am i supposed to find hardwood? i’ve only ever gotten 1 and it just randomly dropped from the ocean.

Hardwood is a drop from mine crates, large trash when diving, when chopping trees, large stumps and logs on the farm if you have not yet completed more than 6 offering bundles.
Once you complete 6 and 14 offerings, new areas unlock with large logs that you can chop down for more consistent hardwood drops.
Best bet is to update your axe to silver and chop down the large logs you see. If the large logs are on your farm you can use explosives to clear them, which you can buy at the BOS shop,

You can also purchase from the carpenter if you have enough gold and want it quickly.

Carpenter option isn’t present in beta, at least a lot of people have reported it’s no longer there. Since beta has rebalances going on seems to not be a bug either.
