How do I get hardwood?

As I know I found it in the mine but it was a very low rate of finding it, and I need it for the gold pickaxe..

there seems to be no option to buy it from the carpenter when I thought before there was…

Hardwood is a drop from mine crates, large trash when diving, when chopping trees, large stumps and logs on the farm if you have not yet completed more than 6 offering bundles.

Once you complete 6 and 14 offerings, new areas unlock with large logs that you can chop down for more consistent hardwood.

So it is hard to find? I mean I only need 4 more for it.. I cleared off my farm but I can’t cut down large stumps yet, as I don’t have any upgraded axe yet.. do I need a upgraded axe? And just any trees?? Or specific trees.? It’s been a while since I played this game

Axe has to be gold for farm stumps/large logs but you can also clear the farm ones with explosives. You should be able to buy those at the BOS shop

The drop from trees is rare, but it is any tree. Given how rare it is I wouldn’t rely on it even with perks and enchants.

So I have the silver axe and that worked for the stumps/large logs and I found a bunch of hardwood by the cavern.. so now I can have my gold pickaxe

Great, there’s been adjustments for some of the requirements. Looks like silver is high enough now, which we did ask for.

Oh really so they changed that too then? I can’t remember from the original game I was playing, I’m playing the beta testing one.. just to get a glimpse of the new content.. but some of the stuff here is harder to obtain… like the rd tier 2 come on have to be on rank C or something and I’m only rank E

There’s been rebalancing and they’ve continued to rebalance as we’ve given more feedback. It’s possible more is done before or when it hits main.
