#my game has crashed while saving

like seven times now in the past week it has crashed, and it just crashed again 10 mins ago. i harvested crops, products from my animals and fished, then when i was saving at night, it just crashed. I've seen other people say that their game crashed when they went to upgrade their tools, but my tool has been upgrading for like two/three days now. so idk lol I'm currently in year 4 spring 18 i think

Hi @kind skiff. Thank you for your report. You mentioned that you've encounter crash for seven times, can you tell me what activities you were doing in-game before the crash happens? Is the crash always happens while you're saving at night? 🙂

the actives are the same for the most part, and yes it's always at night

hi @barren shuttle it crashed twice yesterday, both at night one after the other and the times before that was three crashes on 8/1, and one crash on 8/3

the multiple crashes perday is because the game would crash an i would go back into see if i could get to the next morning, but it wouldn't let me

Hi @kind skiff. We're having a difficulty determining the cause of the problem because there are no crash log from Xbox Game Pass.

We're also have received a lot of reports regarding crashes in savings/before going to sleep, and most of them have been fixed in the beta version. It will take times before going to the main branch and Xbox Game Pass. I hope you would understand 🙂

If you remember any other info or similarity between each times before you're having a crash, it will be very helpful for us to determine the cause!

@barren shuttle well it just crashed again. I harvested my crops, took product from my animals, used dynamite on the logs in the farm, placed down the gift pond I received, bought master bug net and went fishing at night, before going to sleep at like 0:40

@barren shuttle i was thinking it could have been dynamite, but i crashed for a thrid time today, and i wasn't using dynamite

Hi I also seem to have my game crashing as it is saving. It seems that it only crashes if I trigger Chaem’s event by the observatory. I play the game on Steam

for me, if i restart my pc, it usually leaves me alone for a while..but that too has recently changed

i mean even if you make a new character, if the game crashes when you trigger chaem's event idk if your character is the problem

ig the only way would be to try a new character and not romance chaem?

I suppose I should input I have also been having this crash on Year 1 of winter 9 trying to sleep to the next day just as boing boing also has. My process goes go to blacksmith, open three geodes, buy one gold, go home, smelt them, build a keg and kiln and bee hut, place all them, chop some trees, and then sleep. It crashes each time, no matter what I change it seems ... Thought it might be important to add in case this was still an ongoing issue for others as well! So far have gotten maybe four crashes this way

I don't think it has anything to do with chaem because I have hardly interacted with chaem or most npcs in year one other than small gifts and script events

I mainly put this in here because it seemed heavily related to boing boings issue even if boing boings was in year 4 spring

i do not know boing boing or BlueChicken's device specifics but if needed I can get mine in a bit to help further figure out this issue. You'll have to give me time though I just started a new medication and it's making me very very tired

Well its not Chaem. I managed to resolve it and then it crashed again haha. This time its because I entered the water mine

Uh on a different save no but I haven't touched the save that it does happen on since then soooo .... 🤷

I can get them tomorrow right now it's like almost 9 pm
