character froze in cavern

I don’t know if this is a crash or what but my character froze after receiving the explosives on 10 floor osmium level mine. I had to let the time on clock run out so it would send me back to my house as I didn’t want to start the whole day over. I woke up the next day and my character was still frozen. The whole game was frozen so I had to do cntl/alt/del to end the game. I couldn’t even get back to the start menu.

Adding to this post. Went back into the game and another freeze. This time I had just dug up a library book.

I don’t know how to give you specs on my computer but I’ve been playing crash free for months now and never had a crash until this beta.

I've been experiencing this today! I've gone back to dig up the same book twice and it froze me and left my character doing what I assume is the start of the "I got it!" animation.

But it's also freezing me in the caverns when I open the treasure chests, except there's no animation twitch. I also cannot use escape to leave the game, I need to end task in task manager.

yeah, basically anytime there's a "I got the thing!" animation. A friend just started the game last night and she got the freeze getting her first coffer from tilling soil.

I had the crash three times today in the beta: first when opening a chest underwater, then something I've forgotten already, and just now when getting a reward on lvl 10 of the mine

one note on that! you can use the "I'm stuck" option in the menu (especially at the end of the day when you don't want to lose your progress)

I just tried to play again and got the same freeze as yesterday when I dug a library book out the ground. I can’t even bring up the menu to exit. If you use the im stuck option you lose the whole day but like I said I can’t get the menu to come up. I have to close the game using task manager. This is game breaking.

If you tab out of the game by pressing alt+tab and then open it again or tab back in, you are automatically in the menu to use the stuck button. but yes, only an option at the end of the day

If you are on steam deck do you know how to get out of it
