Every time I have to get a elemental monster essence it takes forever to get like I’m talking days upon days of going through the cavern and killing every monster I see to no avail, and I keep thinking I’ve got to be doing something wrong. Any advice? I’m talking about the wind or water essence for example.

Best advice I’ve got is to only fight the elemental variants for the essence you want. They do seem to be the only monsters dropping essence. It is a very rare/low drop so it might still take time.
